Know what the checks can tell you.

What is automated, and what do I approve?

Matching compares titles and URL text. Validation checks supplied status, indexability and canonical values, and blocks chains, loops and unsupported consolidations. You confirm content relevance, resolve ambiguous destinations or document exclusions, and approve every included row. Export generation and delivery are automatic after a verified payment event. You are responsible for reviewing page content and approving each destination.

Does this check live redirects?

No. The free checker checks redirect rules in a CSV. The mapping workflow validates your uploaded crawl data, which may be stale. Neither fetches your website. Missing canonical or robots values do not prove a page is indexable. Confirm current responses and content on staging before launch.

What is outside this workflow?

Production changes, CMS access, live crawling, traffic guarantees, full SEO audits, regex rules, multilingual semantic matching and ecommerce variant consolidation. Multiple approved old URLs pointing to one destination are blocked. Excluding a URL generates no redirect; it does not decide whether a page should be deleted or return 404/410.

Who operates Redirect Desk?

What gets stored?

Checker files and analysis stay in your browser until you clear or leave the page. Creating a preview saves the approved snapshot on the server with access for seven days from preview creation. Expired snapshots and ZIPs are deleted in batches when new previews are created; deletion may occur later. The private link provides access; there are no user accounts. Minimal aggregate counters record checker use, workflow entry and checkout outcomes with an optional acquisition label. Test purchases are separate from real purchases. See data handling and recovery.
